Assorted Live Minibeasts: available year round. Certain species only available seasonally. All live minibeasts come with experienced wrangler and appropriate equipment, to ensure you get the best possible result for your project.
What do you need?
We can provide invertebrate animals such as; spiders, scorpions, snails, slugs, earthworms, centipedes, millipedes, slaters, stick insects, praying mantis, grasshoppers, crickets, caterpillars, moths, butterflies, mealworms, beetles, ants, bees, wasps, flies, maggots, termites, dragonflies and more! We can also provide preserved biofacts such as cicada and snail shells (land/marine), wasp nests (mud/paper), cocoons, egg cases, assorted dead insects, spiders, sea sponges, starfish, coral, sea urchin, dead animal bones and skulls. In addition to lichen-covered rocks and logs, assorted substrates and decorative foliage. etc.
Macrohabitats and Entomological Props; are also available for hire. Do you need a particular micro-habitat recreated? Do you require the use of scientific props such as specimen jars, butterfly nets or magnifying glasses? We can also assist in this!
Would you like to hire a selection of minibeasts for an Art or Photography class? We can provide a range of live and / or preserved specimens for your students to sketch, paint, draw, sculpt, film or photograph. We can even help students with design projects and also provide them with live and preserved specimens to use as part of their art installations and projects. Our minibeasts have even been featured in an exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney!
