Our minibeasts are all Australian species and are either bred and raised by us in our Blue Mountains Bug Lab, or sourced from other ethical specialists and captive breeders. We guarantee that all live minibeasts featured in our Shop are all captively bred and raised by us. We are ALWAYS ETHICAL & SUSTAINABLE in our practices.
We select large, colourful species of minibeasts for our incursions, as we feel they are the most impressive and are much easier to see and handle during our workshops and exhibitions. We keep over 60 different species, which vary depending upon season and availability.
We have over 35 years of proven professional experience working with Australian Terrestrial and Freshwater Aquatic Invertebrates in a variety of well respected Australian institutions.
